AECP HOLDS 15TH ANNUAL GREEN LIVING AND ENERGY EXPO
On November 7 and 8, 2014 AECP held its 15th annual Green Living and Energy Expo at the Roanoke Special Events Center. Over 90 exhibits were on display to educate the general public on a variety of green and energy related topics, goods, and services.
AECP CONDUCTS PEER EXCHANGE IN ROANOKE
On September 29 and 30, 2014 AECP conducted it's twice a year Peer Exchange at the Hotel Roanoke. The purpose of the event is to bring Weatherization Program staff, crew, and administrators from around the state together for two days of networking, presentations, and small group activities.
AECP BOARD OF DIRECTORS VOTES TO DOWNSIZE THE ORGANIZATION
In June of 2014 the AECP Board of Directors voted to downsize AECP and to hire a part-time Executive Director beginning January 1, 2015. As part of this process the AECP office would also be re-located to the home of the part-time director. The AECP Board also decided to focus its efforts primarily as a support and resource group for the Virginia Weatherization Assistance Program. This focus had always existed but also included a broader mission to educate the general public and legislators on a variety of energy issues.
AECP HOLDS PEER EXCHANGE IN ROANOKE
On April 2 and 3, 2014 AECP conducted another statewide Peer Exchange at the Hotel Roanoke. Many issues of importance were discussed by staff, crew and administrators representing all of the Weatherization programs in Virginia.
